How to Set Firebird Database Port?
- Open the 'Control Panel' on your computer, and then click 'System and Security--> Administrative Tools--> Services'.
- Stop this service: Right-click 'Firebird Guardian - DefaultInstance -> Stop'.
- Find the Firebird installation directory, default as: C:\Program Files\Firebird\Firebird_2_1.
- Open 'firebird.conf' file by Notepad.
- And then change ' #RemoteServicePort = 3050' to ' RemoteServicePort = your port No.'.
- Change 'RemoteAuxPort = 3051' to 'RemoteAuxPort = your port No. (Usually this No. is RemoteServicePort +1)
- After setting, please click 'File -> Save' or press 'Ctrl + S'.
- Open the 'Control Panel' on your computer, and then click System and Security--> Administrative Tools--> Services.
- And then start 'Firebird Guardian - DefaultInstance'.
- And then open EfficientPIM, click File -> Close -> then 'Connect to Server'. Please write down your port No. in 'Server'. For example, your IP address of server computer is 'localhost' and port No. is '3060'. So you need to input 'localhost/3060' in 'Server'.
